First Body Paragraph

Elizabeth comes from a family that is in fact wealthy. She is not at the top of the social class but she does have money. Her father does not work but instead is inside his office all day reading, which implies that she is in the middle class. Being economically stable is not something that worries Elizabeth and it is not something she looks for when looking for a husband. She is a strong believer in love and believes that in order for her to be happy the rest of her life, she must marry someone whom she really loves. When Mr. Collins proposed, she rejected his offer. She did this because she did not love him and found any relationship with him unescary. Unlike her, her best friend marries Mr. Collins for the reson that he is economically stable and she needs someone to support her. She admits to doing such an act to Elizabeth. Most women during this time period would accept any offer of marriage that is presented before them in the fear that they may never be asked again. This is not a topic that Elizabeth's worries about. Another reason for which she declines Mr. Collins is for the fact that she is greatly attracted to Mr. Darcy. Although she says she finds him repulsive, she is attracted to him but not because of his wealth. Elizabeth then is asked for her hand in marriage by Mr, Darcy and any women at this time and age would have accepted this offer. Darcy comes from a family of wealth and he is up high in the social class. If she married him she would be economically table for the rest of her life and she would have a title. But she declines him for she is unsure if she absolutely loves him after everything he has done. She believes that Mr.Darcy not only ruined Whickams life but ruined the relationship between her sister, Jane and Mr.Bingley. This action shows that she has good morals because she is clearly not interested in his money but instead his personality and most importantly the way he treats people. Those two factors are very important to her and when he writes her the letter stating everything, and the truth of what exactly happened between him and Whikam and why he did what he did to Mr.Bingely and her sister, she again becomes deepky attracted to him.
